The summer transfer window is now open and that means a number of players are coming to the end of their contracts.
Several high-profile players will be leaving their current clubs, including the likes of Ander Herrera, Antonio Valencia and Alberto Moreno all departing on free transfers.
There is a lot of talent across Europe available for nothing, too, with clubs given the chance to complete some bargain transfers.
Who should YOUR club be looking to bring in for absolutely nothing?
Here are 10 players across Europe who will be available on a free transfer this summer.
1. Adrien Rabiot – Paris Saint-Germain
Rabiot’s situation has been talked about for some time with the Frenchman’s future still unclear.
The 24-year-old has proven himself with quality performances in Ligue 1 and the Champions League, so it’s not a surprise the top clubs are interested in him.
Top clubs around Europe such as Barcelona , Liverpool , Bayern Munich, AC Milan and Juventus are all interested.
Mirror Sport reported this week that Manchester United are also monitoring the Frenchman.
2. Diego Godin – Atletico Madrid
The Uruguayan defender has decided his time is up at Atletico and has confirmed he will leave the club this summer.
Inter Milan are strong favourites to sign the central defender but could he be snared to the Premier League?
Godin has spent a wonderful nine years at Atletico Madrid and he wants a new challenge before his career comes to an end.
The rumours are still there that Manchester United are interested in Godin, as they look to snap up a centre-back this summer.
3. Mario Balotelli – Marseille
Mario, Mario, Mario, will another club even want his signature? Why not? He has all the abilities to be a world-class player, if he fancies it.
Balotelli’s contract at Marseille is ending this summer after signing a short contract until the end of the season. It may be that Balotelli decides he wants to stay at Marseille, if they want to keep him.
Balotelli has certainly shone since joining Marseille, scoring eight goals in 12 appearances.
He has had two cracks at the Premier League – but would a third tempt him?
4. Hatem Ben Arfa – Rennes
Since joining Rennes in 2018, Ben Arfa has put in some fabulous performances and his skills have not gone unnoticed.
The former Newcastle United star didn’t get a chance at his previous club Paris Saint-Germain, which led to him joining Rennes on a free transfer.
If he does decide to leave Rennes this summer, it’s pretty clear he will have several clubs looking to snap him up.
5. Filipe Luis – Atletico Madrid
The left back who returned to Atletico Madrid after an unsuccessful season at Chelsea back in 2014-15 is to be on his way out again.
Luis left Atletico in 2014 to join Chelsea after spending four years at the club. His time at Chelsea didn’t go well and within one season he was back
At the age of 33, it could be his last chance to secure a move to another big club.
Barcelona have been rumoured to be keen but a stronger interest has come from French champions Paris Saint-Germain.
6. Arjen Robben – Bayern Munich
The 35-year-old’s time at Bayern is up and what a phenomenal career he has had.
He has spent the past 10 seasons at Bayern Munich, scoring 143 goals in 307 games for the Bundesliga club.
He has in total won seven Bundesliga’s (hoping for an 8th this season), four DFB-Pokals and one Champions League at Bayern where he scored the winning goal in a 2-1 victory over Borussia Dortmund.
He formally won titles with Real Madrid , Chelsea and PSV Eindhoven. Robben believes he can play for five more years with rumours regarding a possible move to the MLS or the Chinese Super League.
7. Yacine Brahimi – Porto
The Algerian winger’s time may be up at Porto after being a key member of the team for the past five seasons since joining from Spanish side Granada.
Brahimi is 29-years-old now but is still doing a job for Porto, scoring seven goals in 23 appearances in the Primeira Liga this season. He also won BBC African Player of the Year back in 2014.
It was rumoured back in February that Arsenal were keen to capture the Algerian’s signature on a free this summer. He has also been linked to other Premier League clubs such as Wolves , Everton and West Ham .
8. Franck Ribery – Bayern Munich
He may be 36 now and has struggled with injuries lately, but Ribery could still do a job for another club.
Ribery has not made a decision on his future as of yet, but there’s no doubt he will not be short of offers, with a move to Australia mooted.
Clubs in Europe will likely be looking to capture his signature too after his Bayern exit was confirmed.
9. Alan Dzagoev – CSKA Moscow
A player who defines loyalty, Dzagoev career at CSKA seems to be coming to end after spending the past 11 years at the club. He signed for CSKA when he was just 18-years-old from Russian second division side Krylia Sovetov-SOK.
Dzagoev has had a special career at CSKA Moscow winning three Russian Premier League titles, and four Russian cups. He has a total of 339 appearances, scoring 74 goals from midfield, to say he is a club legend is an understatement. He also has 59 caps for Russia.
It’s not clear whether Dzagoev will sign a new contract, but if he decides to leave there will be teams from all leagues interested in the Russian.
10. Hector Herrera – Porto
Another player who has spent most of their career at one club. The Mexican midfielder has been with Porto for six years after signing from boyhood club Pachuca in Mexico.
Herrera’s contract is set end this summer and he’s been tipped to move on.
Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid are both fighting for his signature and he could have a tough decision to make if they both put an offer on the table.
