A fugitive MMA fighter suspected of an attempted murder which left a teenage boy paralysed has been caught hiding in the ‘sin city’ of Thailand.

Glen Bailey, 43, was wanted for allegedly assisting another man in shooting the 17-year-old in Basingstoke, Hampshire, in February 2018.

He fled and entered Thailand on April 3 before moving to Pattaya – a notorious ‘Sin City’ destination where many fugitives hide.

He is understood to have used several different identities including Glenn and Glenford.

The shooting happened outside a block of garages in Basingstoke’s Hearsey Gardens and left the victim paralysed from the waist down.

Local media reported in February this year that a 17-year-old boy had been charged with attempted murder

A man from Farnborough, understood to be Bailey, and a 50-year-old woman from Blackwater, were summoned for assisting an offender.

Six arrests were initially made over the shooting but four of the suspects were later released.
